About Adagio in G Minor

Adagio in G Minor is a neo-Baroque composition created by musicologist Remo Giazotto in 1958, though long attributed to 18th-century Venetian composer Tomaso Albinoni. The piece features a contemplative string and organ arrangement based on a discovered bass line. Its lyrical, flowing melody and classical harmonic structure make it an excellent study for developing smooth legato technique and expressive phrasing on electric guitar.

  • Composed in 1958 by Remo Giazotto, not the original Albinoni as historically believed.
  • The work is structured around a figured bass discovered in an Albinoni manuscript fragment.
  • Appears on the Journey to Justice Original Soundtrack Recording from 2008.
